“The Russian army is shelling Kherson heavily. Again, cruel killing of civilians,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said.
Kherson came under fire as Russian President Vladimir Putin told the Federal Assembly that Russia was not at war with the Ukrainian people.
“The world has no right to forget for a moment that Russia’s cruelty and aggression know no bounds,” Zelensky said on the Telegram website under photos of human corpses on sidewalks and broken shop windows.
Local authorities report that the city was shelled by reactive multi-barreled mortars “Grad”.
Ukraine recaptured Kherson in November, but the city is still under heavy shelling and bombing.
