The Office for Urban Planning and Mobility has started the district development of the Alter Leipziger Bahnhof. It is flanked by a broad participation process. A so-called support group is always present when the urban and open space planning concept for the area is being developed. The 48-strong committee is made up of representatives of the city administration, politics, owners, specialist authorities, interest groups and the city population. Six Dresdeners have the chance to participate in the support group and thus to help shape the planning process. You can apply until February 4, 2022 at www.dresden.de/alter-leipziger-bahnhof. The six places are selected as representatively as possible according to age, gender and place of residence in combination with a lottery.
The “Alter Leipziger Bahnhof” support group will meet on April 1 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Two more meetings will take place in May and July Planners and participate in a planning workshop, and send representatives to the jury to select the winning design.
Building mayor Stephan Kühn: “Through the intensive work of the advisory group, we want to maintain a dialogue between all those involved throughout the entire planning process. I cordially invite interested Dresdeners to apply for a position. With this dialogue process, we are breaking new ground to involve urban society in the development of an important urban quarter.”
