Six Cantabrian companies will participate next week in a virtual trade mission to Colombia

This call offers companies the realization of agendas and multisectoral virtual meetings with potential clients or importers from Colombia.

The companies Santander Delicatessen Cosortium, from the agri-food sector; Sayme Structural Monitoring Engineering; Fagor Telecom, telecommunications and transportation; Valdinox, of electrical equipment; Study of Fluids, of the sector of hydraulics, pneumatics and instrumentation, and Tejasa TC, dedicated to the manufacture and sale of antivibrations, the Government of Cantabria has informed in a statement.

This action has the collaboration of the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Bogotá, which is in charge of preparing the individual work agendas of the participating companies for holding virtual meetings, appropriate to their profile and their needs in the country.

The general director of Sodercan, Javier Carrión, has pointed out that Colombia has “multiple development poles and offers many incentives” for Cantabrian companies, with sectors of interest ranging from renewable energy to agri-food and consumer products for the emerging middle classes .

Carrión has affirmed that with the coronavirus pandemic and mobility restrictions, virtual trade missions have proven to be an effective tool for Cantabrian companies to make themselves known in new markets and establish a first link with potential clients.

The last appointment on Sodercan’s virtual trade mission calendar is Turkey, which will take place from December 14 to 18.

Each participating company has an individual work agenda with potential clients, companies and organizations in this country. Due to the current situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and international travel being restricted, meetings with potential clients are held virtually.

Due to the time difference (-6 hours), the start of the meetings will be from 2:00 p.m., Spanish time.

Sodercan finances each company in Cantabria that wants to participate in these virtual trade missions 70% of the cost of the work schedules.
