At least 32 aftershocks followed the 6.4 and 5.8 magnitude earthquakes in Hatay province the night before
At least 6 people were killed and nearly 300 injured in two earthquakes in southeastern Turkey. This was reported by the Hurriet newspaper, BGNES broadcasts. Three deaths were reported earlier. As the newspaper noted, at least 294 people were injured, 18 of them in serious condition.

At least 32 aftershocks followed the 6.4-magnitude and 5.8-magnitude earthquakes in Hatay province the night before, according to the Office of Emergency Situations. Buildings collapsed in several cities. Tremors were felt in Greece, Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Syria and Cyprus.
