Six members of the Barcelona board of directors are leaving their posts.

Two vice presidents resigned – Emily Russo and Enrique Tombas, who there was a conflict with the president of the Catalans, Joseph Bartomeu, as well as the director – Silvio Elias, Maria Teixidor, Josep Pont – and the secretary of the board – Jordi Clasamilla.

The reason for the resignation, they call the poor crisis management in Barcelona, ​​the case related to accounts on social networks, as well as the future of the club after the coronavirus pandemic.

“The directors who signed below informed President Bartomeu of the decision to immediately and irrevocably resign from their posts at the club.

We have reached this point and do not see the opportunity to change the way we manage the club in the face of important challenges in the future, and especially after the pandemic.

We want to emphasize our disappointment about the incident with the club’s accounts on social networks, known in the press as Barçagate.

We hope that after an audit by PricewaterhouseCoopers, reporting will be passed on to those who should.
