It is unfortunate that India lost to England in the T20 World Cup semi-finals. There is pain in it. BCCI and the recruiters are the reason for this defeat. Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik entered the World Cup squad as a wicketkeeper / batsman. Check out their performance at the World Cup. Neither of them managed to break the double digit even in a single game. Both were picked on the team ahead of Sanju Samson, who is a good strong hitter, fit and has a good average. At that stage I made it clear that this was completely unfair.
See another example. Rishabh Pant has been named vice-captain in the upcoming New Zealand series in ODI and T20I. In other words, the agenda is to keep him on the team, no matter how out of shape he is. Sanju is included as a hitter only.
