Situbondo Regent Dadang Wigiarto Died of Covid-19 Page all

SITUBONDO, KOMPAS.com – Regent Situbondo Dadang Wigiarto died of Covid-19 at RSD Dr. Abdoer Rahem, Situbondo, East Java, on Thursday (26/11/2020).

This information was confirmed by Acting Head of the Situbondo Health Service, Akhmad Yulianto.

“That’s right (died), 30 minutes ago,” said Yuli when contacted Kompas.com, Thursday.

Dadang is known to be positive for Covid-19 after undergoing tests swab on Tuesday (24/11/2020). The results of the swab test came out the same day.

“Yes, because of Covid-19,” said Yuli.

After being tested positive for Covid-19, Dadang was treated at RSD Dr. Abdoer Rahem Situbondo. His condition was called stable and was categorized as without symptoms.

However, three days into the hospital, Dadang died.

Currently, Yuli and a number of Situbondo district government officials are at the Dr Abdoer Rahem Hospital.

According to him, Dadang’s body is in preparation for review. The plan is for the Situbondo Regent to be buried tonight.

“Tonight’s plan is to be buried in Jalan Mawar,” he said.

Previously, the Regent of Dadang tested positive for Covid-19 after undergoing a busy routine for the last few weeks.

The Situbondo Health Office has not been able to confirm the origin of the infection to the Dadang Regent.

A number of regent activities monitored by the Health Service include receiving an award from the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa in Malang on November 16, 2020.

He also attended Korpri activities on the coast of Panarukan District on Saturday (11/21/2020).
