Epidemiological report

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 6779 analyzes were carried out and 644 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 644 new cases, 442 are from Montevideo, 69 from Canelones, 36 from Rivera, 20 from Tacuarembó, 19 from San José, 11 from Artigas, 8 from Maldonado, 7 from Cerro Largo, 7 from Florida, 6 from Durazno, 4 from Salto, 3 from Colonia, 3 from Río Negro, 3 from Rocha, 3 from Paysandú, 2 from Treinta y Tres and 1 from Lavalleja. Regarding the epidemiological trace, the outbreaks reported in recent days remain. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 640,128 tests have been processed and 19,119 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 13,468 have already recovered.

Today 7 new deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. We treated 5 patients from Montevideo, 100, 91, 79, 76 and 74 years old, 1 patient from Canelones, 72 years old, and a patient from Rivera, 82 years old. So far there are 181 deaths from COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 5470 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 72 of them are in intensive care and none in intermediate care.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 1,173 correspond to health personnel. 1004 of them have already recovered, 166 are suffering from the disease and 3 have died.

As of today in the 19 departments there are active cases.
