Situation report on coronavirus COVID-19 in Uruguay (12/18/2021)
Epidemiological report:
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 9,825 analyzes were carried out today and 356 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.
Of the 356 new cases, 173 are from Montevideo, 46 from Canelones, 38 from Rocha, 17 from Maldonado, 12 from Paysandú, 12 from Tacuarembó, 11 from Cerro Largo, 11 from Colonia, 9 from Soriano, 7 from Florida, 4 from Salto, 4 from Treinta y Tres, 3 from Río Negro, 3 from Rivera, 3 from San José, 2 from Flores and 1 from Lavalleja.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 4,269,543 tests have been processed and 404,255 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 395,339 have already been recovered.
Today there were 3 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 in our country (table with detail is attached). So far there are 6,153 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.
Currently there are 2,763 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 20 of them are in critical care centers.
Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 9,907 correspond to health personnel. 9,825 of them have already recovered, 54 are suffering from the disease and 28 have died.
To date, all departments register active cases.
