Epidemiological report
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 4,933 tests were carried out today and 719 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 719 new cases, 508 are from Montevideo, 93 from Canelones, 17 from San José, 16 from Maldonado, 16 from Rivera, 12 from Cerro Largo, 10 from Colonia, 10 from Durazno, 8 from Rocha, 7 from Tacuarembó, 4 from Lavalleja, 5 from Artigas, 3 from Salto, 2 from Florida, 2 from Paysandú, 2 from Río Negro, 2 from Soriano and 2 from Treinta y Tres. Regarding the epidemiological trace, the outbreaks reported in recent days remain. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 706,667 tests have been processed and 26,901 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 19,555 have already been recovered.
Today 6 new deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. These are 4 patients from Montevideo, 94, 90, 74 and 73 years old, a patient from Cerro Largo, 88 years old, and a patient from Rivera, 91 years old. So far there are 262 deaths from COVID-19 in Uruguay.
Currently there are 7,084 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease and 98 of them are in intensive care.
Of the total confirmed positive cases, 1,510 correspond to health personnel. 1,211 of them have already recovered, 296 are suffering from the disease and 3 have died.
As of today in the 19 departments there are active cases.
