Situation report on coronavirus COVID-19 in Uruguay (10/15/2021)

Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 8,550 analyzes were carried out and 190 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.

Of the 190 new cases, 120 are from Montevideo, 38 from Canelones, 9 from Colonia, 8 from Maldonado, 5 from San José, 2 from Durazno, 2 from Rocha, 1 from Artigas, 1 from Cerro Largo, 1 from Florida, 1 from Lavalleja, 1 from Salto and 1 from Soriano.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 3,695,773 tests have been processed and 390,762 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 383,163 have already been recovered.

Today there was a death with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 in our country (a detailed table is attached). So far there are 6,066 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 1,533 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 13 of them are in critical care centers.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 9,424 correspond to health personnel. 9,330 of them have already recovered, 66 are suffering from the disease and 28 have died.

As of today, all departments register active cases.

CLARIFICATIONS:

The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 390,575. Today 190 new cases and a total of 390,762 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 3 cases were eliminated.
