Situation report on coronavirus COVID-19 in Uruguay (07/12/2021)

Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 6,463 analyzes were carried out and 308 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.

Of the 308 new cases, 105 are from Montevideo, 33 from Canelones, 30 from Maldonado, 22 from Salto, 18 from San José, 15 from Soriano, 13 from Colonia, 13 from Durazno, 12 from Artigas, 11 from Paysandú, 9 from Rocha, 8 from Tacuarembó, 6 from Florida, 6 from Treinta y Tres, 3 from Rivera, 2 from Cerro Largo, 1 from Flores and 1 from Lavalleja.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 2,911,447 tests have been processed and 376,876 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 364,431 have already been recovered.

Today, 18 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (table with detail is attached). So far there are 5,833 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 6,612 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 153 of them are in critical care centers.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 8,721 correspond to health personnel. 8,597 of them have already recovered, 96 are suffering from the disease and 28 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:

The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 376,579. Today 308 new cases and a total of 376,876 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 11 cases were eliminated.
