Epidemiological report:
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 16,229 analyzes were carried out and 2,269 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.
Of the 2,269 new cases, 966 are from Montevideo, 327 from Canelones, 171 from Paysandú, 126 from Maldonado, 124 from Salto, 95 from Colonia, 64 from Tacuarembó, 62 from Florida, 56 from Soriano, 47 from San José, 37 from Artigas, 33 from Cerro Largo, 32 from Rocha, 31 from Treinta y Tres, 28 from Lavalleja, 22 from Durazno, 18 from Río Negro, 16 from Rivera and 14 from Flores.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 2,415,625 tests have been processed and 318,783 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 279,387 have already been recovered.
Today, 52 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (table with detail is attached). So far, there are 4,692 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.
There are currently 34,704 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 501 of them are in critical care centers.
Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 8,009 correspond to health personnel. 7,653 of them have already recovered, 333 are suffering from the disease and 23 have died.
As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.
CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 316,535. Today 2,269 new cases and a total of 318,783 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 21 cases were eliminated.
