Epidemiological report:
According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 18,610 analyzes were carried out today and 2,908 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.
Of the 2,908 new cases, 1,401 are from Montevideo, 387 from Canelones, 201 from Maldonado, 145 from Salto, 126 from San José, 105 from Paysandú, 93 from Colonia, 77 from Artigas, 56 from Tacuarembó, 43 from Cerro Largo, 42 from Lavalleja, 39 from Florida, 39 from Florida, 38 from Soriano, 31 from Rivera, 29 from Rocha, 28 from Río Negro, 28 from Treinta y Tres, 23 from Durazno and 16 from Flores.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 2,329,470 tests have been processed and 304,411 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 263,733 have already been recovered.
Today 68 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (table with detail is attached). So far, there are 4,460 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.
Currently there are 36,218 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 533 of them are in critical care centers.
Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 7,901 correspond to health personnel. 7,474 of them have already recovered, 406 are suffering from the disease and 21 have died.
As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.
CLARIFICATIONS:
- The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 301,524. Today 2,908 new cases and a total of 304,411 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 21 cases were eliminated.
- The total number of deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 until yesterday was 4,394. Today 68 deaths and a total of 4,460 deaths are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP: “two cases were eliminated as a result of investigation tasks and improvement of the quality of the data in the system.”
