Situation report on coronavirus COVID-19 in Uruguay (04/14/2021)

Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 14,200 analyzes were carried out today and 2,664 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 2,664 new cases, 1,060 are from Montevideo, 326 from Canelones, 240 from Río Negro, 138 from Soriano, 118 from Tacuarembó, 107 from Rivera, 98 from Artigas, 87 from Colonia, 70 from San José, 69 from Florida, 63 from Maldonado, 63 from Salto, 56 from Cerro Largo, 47 from Paysandú, 36 from Lavalleja, 36 from Rocha, 29 from Treinta y Tres, 15 from Durazno and 6 from Flores. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,575,378 tests have been processed and 152,089 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 119,388 have already been recovered.

Today, 52 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (table with detail is attached). So far there are 1,646 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 31,055 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 509 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 5,963 correspond to health personnel. 5,288 of them have already recovered, 667 are suffering from the disease and 8 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:

The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 149,430. Today 2,664 new cases and a total of 152,089 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 5 cases were eliminated.
