Situation report on coronavirus COVID-19 in Uruguay (04/11/2021)

Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 12,990 analyzes were carried out today and 3,274 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 3,274 new cases, 1,599 are from Montevideo, 394 from Canelones, 189 from San José, 147 from Maldonado, 143 from Cerro Largo, 104 from Rivera, 96 from Soriano, 94 from Artigas, 86 from Salto, 78 from Colonia, 71 from Paysandú, 54 from Florida, 53 from Tacuarembó, 41 from Río Negro, 38 from Lavalleja, 36 from Durazno, 32 from Treinta y Tres, 16 from Rocha and 3 from Flores. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,532,512 tests have been processed and 144,642 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 110,277 have already recovered.

Today, 48 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (table with detail is attached). So far there are 1,462 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 32,903 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 485 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 5,761 correspond to health personnel. 5,049 of them have already recovered, 704 are suffering from the disease and 8 have died.
As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:
• The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 141,380. Today 3,274 new cases and a total of 144,642 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 12 cases were eliminated.
