Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 18,209 analyzes were carried out and 3,674 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 3,674 new cases, 1,630 are from Montevideo, 659 from Canelones, 184 from Rivera, 121 from Cerro Largo, 134 from San José, 117 from Maldonado, 103 from Tacuarembó, 98 from Artigas, 91 from Soriano, 90 from Colonia, 84 from Florida, 82 from Paysandú, 53 from Treinta y Tres, 51 from Salto, 49 from Rocha, 45 from Río Negro, 32 from Lavalleja, 28 from Flores and 23 from Durazno. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,488,362 tests have been processed and 130,657 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 101,241 have already been recovered.

Today 44 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (table with detail is attached). So far, there are 1,275 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 28,141 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 437 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 5,486 correspond to health personnel. 4,810 of them have already recovered, 669 are suffering from the disease and 7 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:

The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 126,987. Today 3,674 new cases and a total of 130,657 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 4 cases were eliminated.
