Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 13,395 analyzes were carried out today and 3,935 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 3,935 new cases, 1953 are from Montevideo, 560 from Canelones, 185 from Rivera, 108 from Cerro Largo, 183 from San José, 140 from Maldonado, 101 from Paysandú, 98 from Tacuarembó, 80 from Soriano, 81 from Florida, 77 from Salto, 69 from Colonia, 62 from Artigas, 59 from Treinta y Tres, 51 from Río Negro, 36 from Durazno, 34 from Rocha, 30 from Lavalleja and 28 from Flores. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,470,153 tests have been processed and 126,987 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 98,837 have already been recovered.

Today 40 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (table with detail is attached). So far, there are 1,231 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 26,919 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 436 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 5,431 correspond to health personnel. 4,731 of them have already recovered, 693 are suffering from the disease and 7 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:

The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 123,063. Today they report 3.935 new cases and a total of 126,987 confirmed positive cases. The difference is explained because 11 cases were eliminated.

As a result of the delays in the information on positive cases and tests in recent days, the MSP will present a chronologically ordered report detailing the exact day of the tests, positive cases and deaths on the corresponding date. While there were backlogs in the cases, the totals are correct.
