Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 13,955 analyzes were carried out and 1,614 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 1,614 new cases, 679 are from Montevideo, 190 from Canelones, 123 from Rivera, 112 from Cerro Largo, 78 from Salto, 78 from San José, 61 from Maldonado, 55 from Río Negro, 50 from Soriano, 33 from Artigas, 29 from Colonia, 28 from Lavalleja, 24 from Paysandú, 23 from Treinta y Tres, 17 from Rocha, 16 from Florida, 12 from Tacuarembó, 4 from Flores and 2 from Durazno. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,456,758 tests have been processed and 123,063 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 96,563 have already been recovered.

Today 45 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country. So far there are 1,191 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 25,309 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 432 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 5,333 correspond to health personnel. 4,654 of them have already recovered, 672 are suffering from the disease and 7 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:

The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 119,958. Today 1,614 new cases and a total of 123,063 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 1,499 cases reported out of date by laboratories were included according to the tables attached below (source: MSP), and on the other hand, because 8 cases were eliminated.
