Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 10,038 analyzes were carried out and 1,796 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 1,796 new cases, 1,019 are from Montevideo, 198 from Canelones, 85 from Rivera, 76 from Paysandú, 54 from Tacuarembó, 46 from Maldonado, 40 from Río Negro, 38 from Artigas, 36 from Cerro Largo, 33 from Florida, 29 from Salto, 28 from Soriano, 23 from Durazno, 21 from Treinta y Tres, 19 from Colonia, 18 from San José, 17 from Rocha, 8 from Flores and 8 from Lavalleja. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,264,894 have been processed and 87,812 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 71,588 have already been recovered.

Today 16 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country. This is 1 patient from Canelones, 70 years old, 1 patient from Cerro Largo, 52 years old, 1 patient from Durazno, 84 years old, 1 patient from Soriano, 66 years old, 3 patients from Tacuarembó, 71, 72 and 84 years old, 4 patients de Rivera of 58, 67, 71 and 82 years old and 5 patients from Montevideo of 63, 77, 80, 80 and 86 years old. So far there are 843 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 15,381 active cases, that is, people who are developing the disease, 225 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 4,270 correspond to health personnel. 3830 of them have already recovered, 433 are suffering from the disease and 7 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 86,007. Today 1,796 new cases and a total of 87,812 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because due to improvements in the quality of the data, 9 cases were found that had not been included.
