Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 12,007 analyzes were carried out and 1,528 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 1,528 new cases, 787 are from Montevideo, 126 from Canelones, 105 from Salto, 99 from Rivera, 81 from Tacuarembó, 64 from Cerro Largo, 58 from Río Negro, 34 from Paysandú, 34 from San José, 26 from Florida, 20 from Soriano, 19 from Maldonado, 17 from Artigas, 16 from Durazno, 11 from Colonia, 10 from Lavalleja, 10 from Rocha, 10 from Treinta y Tres and 1 from Flores. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,212,499 have been processed and 79,923 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 66,668 have already been recovered.

Today 16 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country. They are 1 patient from Cerro Largo, 78 years old, 1 patient from Rivera, 68 years old, 1 patient from Rocha, 55 years old, 1 patient from Tacuarembó, 80 years old, 2 patients from Río Negro, 30 and 72 years old, and 10 patients from Montevideo 40, 49, 57, 73, 73, 75, 80, 86, 89 and 90 years old. So far there are 776 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 12,479 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 174 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 4,037 correspond to health personnel. 3,634 of them have already recovered, 396 are suffering from the disease and 7 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 78,401. Today 1,528 new cases and a total of 79,923 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 6 cases were eliminated.
