Epidemiological report:
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 6,999 analyzes were carried out and 957 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 957 new cases, 405 are from Montevideo, 129 from Canelones, 73 from Rivera, 60 from Cerro Largo, 43 from Río Negro, 35 from San José, 29 from Tacuarembó, 27 from Florida, 26 from Artigas, 26 from Salto, 22 from Paysandú, 16 from Colonia, 16 from Maldonado, 14 from Lavalleja, 10 from Soriano, 8 from Treinta y Tres, 7 from Durazno, 6 from Rocha and 5 from Flores. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,086,087 have been processed and 66,484 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total 57,134 have already been recovered.
Today, 12 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country. They are 1 patient from Artigas, 90 years old, 1 patient from Rivera, 84 years old, 1 patient from San José, 84 years old, 1 patient from Tacuarembó, 63 years old, 2 patients from Canelones, 65 and 85 years old, 2 patients from Salto. aged 76 and 79 years and 4 patients from Montevideo aged 72, 72, 87 years and 92 years. So far, there are 678 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.
There are currently 8672 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 91 of them are in intensive care.
Of the total confirmed positive cases, 3,583 correspond to health personnel. 3202 of them have already recovered, 374 are suffering from the disease and 7 have died.
As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.
