Epidemiological report:
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 6539 analyzes were carried out and 872 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 872 new cases, 461 are from Montevideo, 69 from Rivera, 53 from Cerro Largo, 52 from Tacuarembó, 43 from Canelones, 35 from San José, 28 from Artigas, 24 from Salto, 22 from Maldonado, 18 from Río Negro, 13 from Durazno, 12 from Paysandú, 11 from Treinta y Tres, 9 from Lavalleja, 7 from Colonia, 6 from Florida, 6 from Rocha, 2 from Flores and 1 from Soriano. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,072,137 have been processed and 64,700 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 55,638 have already been recovered.
Today, 7 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country. They are 1 patient from Durazno, 99 years old, 1 patient from Paysandú, 69 years old, 1 patient from Salto, 87 years old, and 4 patients from Montevideo, 67, 75, 82 and 84 years old. So far there are 658 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.
There are currently 8,404 active cases, that is, people who are developing the disease, 87 of them are in intensive care.
Of the total confirmed positive cases, 3,500 correspond to health personnel. 3147 of them have already recovered, 346 are suffering from the disease and 7 have died.
As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.
CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 63,837. Today 872 new cases and a total of 64,700 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 9 cases were eliminated.
