Epidemiological report:
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 7118 tests were carried out today and 907 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 907 new cases, 524 are from Montevideo, 70 from Canelones, 64 from Rivera, 40 from Salto, 32 from Tacuarembó, 25 from Cerro Largo, 25 from Paysandú, 21 from Florida, 17 from Artigas, 17 from Durazno, 17 from Maldonado, 12 from Rocha, 12 from San José, 12 from Treinta y Tres, 8 from Soriano, 6 from Colonia, 3 from Lavalleja and 2 from Río Negro. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,036,978 have been processed and 60,074 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 51,978 have already been recovered.
Today 6 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country. They are 1 patient from Rivera, 82 years old and 5 patients from Montevideo, 64, 72, 82, 83 and 89 years old. So far there are 624 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.
There are currently 7472 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 80 of them are in intensive care.
Of the total confirmed positive cases, 3,299 correspond to health personnel. 2,994 of them have already recovered, 298 are suffering from the disease and 7 have died.
As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.
CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 59,171. Today 907 new cases and a total of 60,074 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 4 cases were eliminated.
