Epidemiological report
According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 5,450 analyzes were carried out and 559 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 559 new cases, 358 are from Montevideo, 60 from Canelones, 25 from Salto, 22 from Rocha, 20 from Maldonado, 15 from Tacuarembó, 13 from Cerro Largo, 11 from Río Negro, 10 from Artigas, 7 from Florida, 4 de Rivera, 3 from Paysandú, 2 from San José, 2 from Durazno, 2 from Colonia, 2 from Lavalleja, 2 from Treinta y Tres, and one from Flores. Regarding the epidemiological trace, the outbreaks reported in recent days remain. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 654,191 tests have been processed and 20,823 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 15,125 have already been recovered.
Today 3 new deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. They are a 74-year-old patient from Montevideo, a 97-year-old patient from Canelones and a 59-year-old patient from San José. So far there are 204 deaths from COVID-19 in Uruguay.
There are currently 5,494 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease and 73 of them are in intensive care.
Of the total confirmed positive cases, 1,230 correspond to health personnel. 1,057 of them have already recovered, 170 are suffering from the disease and 3 have died.
As of today in the 19 departments there are active cases.
