Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 8262 analyzes were carried out and 854 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 854 new cases, 428 are from Montevideo, 87 from Canelones, 63 from Cerro Largo, 53 from Rivera, 40 from Salto, 31 from Maldonado, 31 from Tacuarembó, 28 from San José, 22 from Artigas, 21 from Río Negro, 13 from Durazno, 12 from Paysandú, 11 from Rocha, 4 from Colonia, 3 from Florida, 3 from Treinta y Tres, 2 from Lavalleja and 2 from Soriano. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,005,801 have been processed and 56,542 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 49,012 have already been recovered.

Today 6 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country. They are 1 patient from Artigas, 77 years old, 1 patient from Canelones, 82 years old, 1 patient from Florida, 36 years old, 1 patient from Maldonado, 58 years old, and 2 patients from Montevideo, 80 and 81 years old. So far there are 601 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

Currently there are 6929 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 67 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 3,141 correspond to health personnel. 2863 of them have already recovered, 271 are suffering from the disease and 7 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 55,695. Today 854 new cases and a total of 56,542 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 7 cases were eliminated.
