Epidemiological report:
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 7034 analyzes were carried out and 825 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 825 new cases, 413 are from Montevideo, 110 from Canelones, 87 from Rivera, 45 from Tacuarembó, 26 from Cerro Largo, 20 from Durazno, 20 from Maldonado, 18 from Colonia, 15 from San José, 14 from Río Negro, 13 from Salto, 9 from Paysandú, 9 from Rocha, 8 from Artigas, 8 from Florida, 3 from Flores, 3 from Treinta y Tres, 2 from Lavalleja and 2 from Soriano. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.
Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 997,539 tests have been processed and 55,695 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 48,496 have already recovered.
Today, 4 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country. These were 2 patients from Maldonado, 78 and 86 years old, and 2 patients from Montevideo, 69 and 89 years old. So far, there are 595 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.
There are currently 6,604 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 61 of them are in intensive care.
Of the total confirmed positive cases, 3105 correspond to health personnel. 2841 of them have already recovered, 259 are suffering from the disease and 5 have died.
As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.
CLARIFICATION:
The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 54,874. Today 825 new cases and a total of 55,695 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 4 cases were eliminated.
