Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 6611 analyzes were carried out and 636 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 636 new cases, 326 are from Montevideo, 79 from Canelones, 36 from Rivera, 29 from Maldonado, 24 from San José, 23 from Durazno, 22 from Artigas, 17 from Cerro Largo, 17 from Tacuarembó, 15 from Colonia, 15 from Paysandú, 13 from Salto, 7 from Río Negro, 5 from Florida, 4 from Rocha, 3 from Soriano and 1 from Lavalleja. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 959,220 tests have been processed and 51,377 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 45,398 have already been recovered.

Today 5 deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. They are 1 patient from Canelones, 94 years old and 4 patients from Montevideo, 63, 69, 77 and 87 years old. So far there are 563 deaths from COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 5416 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 72 of them are in intensive care and none in intermediate care.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 2,942 correspond to health personnel. 2,688 of them have already recovered, 249 are suffering from the disease and 5 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION: The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 50,752. Today 636 new cases and a total of 51,377 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 11 cases were eliminated.
