Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 5,010 analyzes were carried out and 376 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 376 new cases, 174 are from Montevideo, 53 from Canelones, 21 from Rivera, 18 from Colonia, 18 from San José, 13 from Maldonado, 12 from Artigas, 11 from Durazno, 11 from Paysandú, 8 from Cerro Largo, 8 from Salto, 7 from Tacuarembó, 5 from Soriano, 4 from Lavalleja, 4 from Río Negro, 4 from Treinta y Tres, 3 from Rocha and 2 from Florida. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 940,015 tests have been processed and 49,725 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 44,060 have already recovered.

Today 5 deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. They are 1 patient from Colonia, 61 years old, 1 patient from Paysandú, 61 years old, 1 patient from Tacuarembó, 85 years old, and 2 patients from Montevideo, 70 and 88 years old. So far there are 546 deaths from COVID-19 in Uruguay.

Currently there are 5119 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 80 of them are in intensive care and none in intermediate care.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 2,845 correspond to health personnel. 2,613 of them have already recovered, 227 are suffering from the disease and 5 have died.

As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION: The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 49,360. Today 376 new cases and a total of 49,725 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 11 cases were eliminated.
