Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 5817 analyzes were carried out and 579 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 579 new cases, 264 are from Montevideo, 110 from Canelones, 30 from Rivera, 27 from San José, 21 from Paysandú, 20 from Maldonado, 18 from Colonia, 17 from Tacuarembó, 15 from Artigas, 14 from Cerro Largo, 10 from Durazno, 10 from Lavalleja, 7 from Soriano, 6 from Rocha, 4 from Salto, 3 from Florida and 3 from Treinta y Tres. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 920,230 tests have been processed and 47,828 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 41,966 have already been recovered.

Today 3 deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. These are 3 patients from Montevideo, 78, 78 and 83 years old. So far there are 527 deaths from COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 5,335 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 79 of them are in intensive care and none in intermediate care.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 2,750 correspond to health personnel. 2,489 of them have already recovered, 256 are suffering from the disease and 5 have died.

As of today in the 19 departments there are active cases.

CLARIFICATION: The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 47,254. Today 579 new cases and a total of 47,828 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 5 cases were eliminated.
