Epidemiological report:

According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 5632 analyzes were carried out and 342 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 342 new cases, 199 are from Montevideo, 40 from Canelones, 17 from San José, 16 from Rivera, 9 from Colonia, 9 from Salto, 9 from Soriano, 7 from Durazno, 6 from Cerro Largo, 6 from Maldonado, 6 from Tacuarembó, 5 from Lavalleja, 4 from Artigas, 4 from Paysandú, 4 from Treinta y Tres and 1 from Río Negro. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 894,791 tests have been processed and 45,650 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 39,677 have already been recovered.

Today, 7 deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. These were 3 patients from Canelones aged 59, 71 and 75 years and 4 patients from Montevideo aged 70, 78, 82 and 93 years. So far there are 497 deaths from COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 5476 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 75 of them are in intensive care and none in intermediate care.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 2,623 correspond to health personnel. 2320 of them have already recovered, 298 are suffering from the disease and 5 have died.

As of today in the 19 departments there are active cases.

CLARIFICATION: The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 45,311. Today 342 new cases and a total of 45,650 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because 3 cases were eliminated.
