Epidemiological report

According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 5,302 analyzes were carried out and 557 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 557 new cases, 330 are from Montevideo, 60 from Canelones, 33 from Rivera, 32 from Maldonado, 20 from Tacuarembó, 11 from Paysandú, 10 from Salto, 9 from San José, 8 from Colonia, 7 from Artigas, 7 from Soriano, 5 from Cerro Largo, 5 from Florida, 5 from Rocha, 4 from Durazno, 4 from Lavalleja, 4 from Río Negro and 3 from Treinta y Tres.
In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 848,026 tests have been processed and 41,738 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total 34,683 have already been recovered.

Today 5 new deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. These were 4 patients from Montevideo, 93, 85, 82 and 69 years old and 1 patient from Canelones, 96 years old.

So far there are 436 deaths from COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 6,619 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease and 90 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 2,340 correspond to health personnel. 1,993 of them have already recovered, 343 are suffering from the disease and 4 have died.

As of today in the 19 departments there are active cases.
