Epidemiological report

According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 6,077 analyzes were carried out and 652 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 652 new cases, 407 are from Montevideo, 77 from Canelones, 27 from Maldonado, 23 from Tacuarembó, 15 from Paysandú, 15 from San José, 13 from Rivera, 12 from Soriano, 11 from Colonia, 11 from Salto, 8 from Artigas, 8 from Cerro Largo, 7 from Florida, 6 from Rocha, 5 from Durazno, 5 from Lavalleja, 1 from Treinta y Tres and 1 from Río Negro.
In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 842,724 tests have been processed and 41,181 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total 33,914 have already been recovered.

Today 6 new deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. These were 3 patients from Montevideo aged 88, 73 and 69 years old and 3 patients from Canelones aged 76, 72 and 58 years old.

So far there are 431 deaths from COVID-19 in Uruguay.

Currently there are 6,836 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease and 95 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 2,322 correspond to health personnel. 1,949 of them have already recovered, 369 are suffering from the disease and 4 have died.

As of today in the 19 departments there are active cases.
