Epidemiological report

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 8,468 analyzes were carried out today and 651 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 651 new cases, 330 are from Montevideo, 104 from Canelones, 42 from Maldonado, 34 from San José, 33 from Rivera, 27 from Tacuarembó, 12 from Salto, 10 from Artigas, 10 from Colonia, 9 from Cerro Largo, 9 from Treinta y Tres, 7 from Durazno, 7 from Soriano, 5 from Paysandú, 5 from Rocha, 3 from Florida, 3 from Lavalleja and 1 from Flores.
In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 836,647 tests have been processed and 40,529 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 33,146 have already recovered.

Today 10 new deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. These were 7 patients from Montevideo of 88, 88, 86, 78, 71, 70 and 56 years old and 3 patients from Canelones of 78, 65 and 65 years old.

So far there are 425 deaths from COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 6,958 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease and 95 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 2,291 correspond to health personnel. 1,918 of them have already recovered, 369 are suffering from the disease and 4 have died.

As of today in the 19 departments there are active cases.

Clarification: 9 cases were eliminated due to their illness outside the country
