Epidemiological report

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 7,308 analyzes were carried out today and 644 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 644 new cases, 356 are from Montevideo, 86 from Canelones, 40 from Maldonado, 28 from Rivera, 24 from Tacuarembó, 21 from Salto, 16 from Rocha, 12 from San José, 11 from Artigas, 11 from Durazno, 10 from Colonia, 7 from Cerro Largo, 7 from Lavalleja, 5 from Paysandú, 4 from Florida, 4 from Soriano and 2 from Río Negro.
In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 813,261 tests have been processed and 38,680 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 30,861 have already been recovered.

Today 11 new deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. These are 4 patients from Montevideo, 86, 85, 83 and 80 years old; 2 patients from Canelones, 81 and 72 years old; 1 94-year-old Durazno patient; 1 Rivera patient, 75 years old; 1 patient of Thirty-Three of 72 years; 1 Florida patient 65 years old and 1 San José patient 63 years old.

So far there are 401 deaths from COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 7,418 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease and 92 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 2,156 correspond to health personnel. 1,776 of them have already recovered, 376 are suffering from the disease and 4 have died.

As of today in the 19 departments there are active cases.

Clarification: 5 cases were eliminated due to their illness outside the country
