Epidemiological report

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 6,512 analyzes were carried out and 801 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 801 new cases, 455 are from Montevideo, 120 from Canelones, 34 from Rivera, 33 from Salto, 26 from Rocha, 24 from Durazno, 23 from Maldonado, 15 from San José, 13 from Tacuarembó, 12 from Lavalleja, 9 from Cerro Largo, 8 from Colonia, 7 from Paysandú, 7 from Soriano, 6 from Florida, 5 from Artigas, 3 from Río Negro and 1 from Treinta y Tres.

In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 795,172 tests have been processed and 36,967 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 28,547 have already been recovered.

Today 3 new deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. These were 2 patients from Montevideo, 89 and 72 years old, and 1 patient from Salto, 72 years old.

So far there are 367 deaths from COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 8,053 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease and 96 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total of confirmed positive cases, 2,043 correspond to health personnel. 1,647 of them have already recovered, 393 are suffering from the disease and 3 have died.

As of today in the 19 departments there are active cases.

Clarification: 4 cases were eliminated due to their illness outside the country
