Epidemiological report

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), today 7,330 analyzes were carried out and 709 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 709 new cases, 434 are from Montevideo, 71 from Canelones, 30 from Maldonado, 30 from Rivera, 26 from San José, 26 from Tacuarembó, 17 from Colonia, 14 from Paysandú, 12 from Soriano, 11 from Rocha, 10 from Salto, 9 from Artigas, 8 from Río Negro, 6 from Durazno, 3 from Lavalleja and 2 from Treinta y Tres. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 779,127 tests have been processed and 34,992 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 26,927 have already been recovered.

Today 11 new deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. These were 9 patients from Montevideo aged 86, 84, 80, 75, 71, 71, 70, 69, and 65 years and 2 patients from Canelones aged 85 and 72 years.

So far there are 347 deaths from COVID-19 in Uruguay.

Currently there are 7,718 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease and 98 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 1,952 correspond to health personnel. 1,562 of them have already recovered, 387 are suffering from the disease and 3 have died.

As of today in the 19 departments there are active cases.

Clarification: 11 cases were eliminated due to their disease outside the country
