Epidemiological report

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 8,792 analyzes were carried out today and 957 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 957 new cases, 586 are from Montevideo, 124 from Canelones, 36 from Rivera, 36 from Maldonado, 26 from Rocha, 23 from San José, 23 from Tacuarembó, 19 from Paysandú, 16 from Durazno, 13 from Salto, 11 from Cerro Largo, 11 from Colonia, 10 from Artigas, 10 from Lavalleja, 5 from Florida, 3 from Treinta y Tres, 2 from Soriano, 2 from Flores and 1 from Río Negro.

Regarding the epidemiological trace, the outbreaks reported in recent days remain. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 738,310 tests have been processed and 30,946 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 22,423 have already been recovered.

Today 11 new deaths from Coronavirus were confirmed in our country. They are 7 patients from Montevideo of 94, 85, 84, 77, 75, 68 and 51; a 76-year-old patient from Soriano; a 75-year-old patient from Tacuarembó; a 74-year-old patient from Paysandú and a 55-year-old patient from Canelones.

So far there are 291 deaths from COVID-19 in Uruguay.

Currently there are 8,232 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease and 116 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 1,679 correspond to health personnel. 1,338 of them have already recovered, 338 are suffering from the disease and 3 have died.

As of today in the 19 departments there are active cases.
