Russian occupation forces are using expired Russian ammunition to shell Ukrainian positions. In particular, these are ammunition of the ZOF49 type.

Fragments from the projectiles indicate the used ammunition of the ZOF49 type with a 3V35 fuse, which were removed from the armament of the armed forces of the Russian Federation after the expiration date. These ammunition is supplied by the Russian Federation for disposal for illegal armed groups, which are armed with Russian-made 2B16 “Nona-SVK” cannons.
The headquarters noted that these guns are not in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is noted that the use of prohibited weapons by the armed formations of the Russian Federation poses a direct threat to the life and health of the military personnel of the Joint Forces and the civilian population.
