A lengthy set of rules drawn up by the Taliban Higher Education Authority states that women are only allowed to attend private universities in the niqab (a headdress that hides the face and leaves only a narrow slit for the eyes).
Also, classes for them should be held in a separate room separately from men. If this is not possible, then the female and male part of the audience should be separated by a curtain.
In addition, only a woman or, if this is not possible, an “elderly man with a good character” can teach female students.
