Aremania demo at the office Arema FC messy ending. A total of 107 people were arrested by the police.
The mass of supporters initially gathered at the Heroes Cemetery (TMP) Jalan Veterans, Malang City. The masses wore black clothes and unfurled a number of posters and banners condemning Arema FC. Demo supporters then heated up. Aremania mobs and security officers clashed with each other. Even though it didn’t last long, the clash resulted in broken and broken glass in Arema FC’s office.
The masses also burned a number of items on the streets so that white smoke was seen billowing around the site. Police officers then came and tried to break up the clash. The clashes then subsided. Meanwhile, the Arema FC office has already installed a police line.
Aremania demands
As reported detikJatim, Aremania demands Arema FC to be responsible for the Kanjuruhan Tragedy. As a result of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy, football in the country was affected.
In addition, Aremania considers that Arema FC’s management is irresponsible and chose to continue the competition rather than focusing on handling the Kanjuruhan Tragedy.
“We, on behalf of Arek Malang, with all humility, apologize for those who have been harmed and even humiliated by the actions of irresponsible people,” said one Aremania in his oration, Sunday (29/1/2023).
Three Victims Taken to Hospital
The riotous demonstration of supporters at the Arema FC office caused casualties. As of yesterday, the police noted that three victims had been rushed to Saiful Anwar Hospital, Malang, East Java (East Java).
“Information there is one local resident and two from Arema FC,” said Malang City Police Chief Kombes Budi Hermanto to the media crew.
Budi explained that the police were still taking inventory of the impact of the damage caused by the Aremania’s throwing stones and wood. Budi also said that Arema FC would report the damage to their office to the police.
107 People Arrested
As many as 107 people were arrested by the police following a riot at the Arema FC Office, Malang. Police are still interrogating witnesses.
“Yes, it’s true (there are 107 people) who were arrested allegedly at the time of the action and are still being investigated. If there is no connection and unlawful act, we will return it to the family. We are also investigating the intellectual actors behind the anarchic action earlier,” he explained.
Arema FC’s management regrets the destruction that occurred in their office. The reason is, Arema FC’s management admits that they have opened the door for dialogue so far.
“We are open, we even accept Aremania’s complaints, even some time ago Arema FC also opened a Crisis Center, we are open to dialogue. Not by destroying our house,” said Commissioner of PT Arema Aremania Bersatu Berprestasi (PT AABBI), Tatang Dwi Arifianto in the official statement.
He added that Arema FC has tried to respond well to the various provocations that Arema FC has been going through. Like when the Arema FC bus was attacked by elements after an away match against PSS Sleman some time ago.
Regarding this vandalism, Tatang said that Arema FC fully handed over the investigation of the incident to the police.
