Through 17 seasons, TV viewers have leaned in front of the screen to see the somewhat unorthodox family in the reality series “Sister Wives”.
The series has previously dealt with the everyday life of the polyamorous family consisting of Kody Brown (54), his four wives and the family’s 18 children.
Three divorces in one year
Last year, however, the idyll began to crack, and within a short time, three of Kody’s four spouses had filed for divorce from their former husband.
Many have speculated on what goes on between the house’s four walls, and many have reacted to Kody’s lack of empathy when he has addressed the many break-ups.
He has also been criticized for favoring his wife Robyn Brown (44) and the couple’s children, which is likely to have been a contributing factor to the collapse of the other three marriages.
None of them have so far commented on these speculations.

Now Gwendlyn (18), the daughter of Christine Brown (50), takes the magazine out of her mouth and shares what her childhood was really like.
She also claims that Kody was never the father she wanted him to be.
She does so in a new YouTube video. In the video, the 18-year-old reacts to a clip of Kody spending time and playing with his two youngest children.
When she sees how the father interacts with the children, and how close they seem to be, Gwendlyn does not hide how hurt it is that she never experienced the same treatment.
– I know I should be happy on their behalf, but it really hurts to see him be an active father to the youngest. I never got that treatment from him when I was young. I missed my dad when I was growing up, and never experienced him as a playful and present father, she tells the camera, choking back tears.

Furthermore, the 18-year-old clarifies that she treats her siblings to a father who spends time with them, but adds that the great discrimination causes her to feel a touch of jealousy.
– I am glad that they have a good father, or, at least what appears to be a good and active father. It’s just weird that I don’t recognize that father figure there. The one he is on camera now is the dad I wish I had, but never got, she admits.
Kody has so far not commented on his daughter’s statements, but has in previous interviews with, among others, the website The Hollywood Gossip admitted that he does not see himself as a good father to his children at all.
