Sisbén headquarters on Doce de Octubre would come into operation at the end of March

The Planning Advisory Office of the Municipality of Valledupar, through the Identification and Classification System of Potential Beneficiaries for Social Programs (Sisbén), has provided attention to more than 1.500 people since customer service began at the Neighborhood Development Center (CDV) on February 14.

User service began with a variety of procedures, including new incursions, characterization in the database, updating civil records to identity cards and from cards to ID cards. These actions aim to improve citizen service and ensure that they meet the updated requirements demanded by some government programs.

Álvaro Molina, administrator of the Sisbén Office in Valledupar, highlighted the satisfaction of citizens with the attention received in recent days. “So far, we have served more than fifteen hundred users in procedures such as updates and modifications. “Citizens have appreciated quick, humanized and clear attention, where we have informed them about their rights and benefits through Sisbén,” he commented.

Molina also informed the community about the new modifications in the household entry registry to the database, made by the national government. In addition, he announced that as of March 20, surveys and score disagreements will be resumed in the city, and the peak and ID card will be eliminated to guarantee maximum service to the inhabitants of Valledupar.

Regarding the opening of the Doce de Octubre headquarters, Laura Garrido Torres, head of the Municipal Planning Office, reported that administrative efforts are being made to adapt and equip the offices in this sector. It is expected that before the end of March, the new headquarters will be operational to serve citizens.

“The mayor of Valledupar is making different administrative efforts to be able to buy all the real estate, we hope that before the end of March we can be in this new space serving the citizens,” the official explained.

He also clarified that: “Sisbén does not assign scores, we receive the information they provide us and this is presented to the DNP and they, by cross-referencing the information, depending on the financial movement that each citizen has with the household income record, can receive the score.”
