This year’s season off “Shall we dance” begins to approach the end, and competition intensifies. Eight out of twelve participants have smoked out, and tonight another celebrity has to put his dancing shoes on the shelf.
The remaining participants are former combined runner Magnus Moan (38), sports anchor Simon Nitsche (29), artist Øyvind «Vinni» Sauvik (45) and host Siri Avlesen-Østli (37).
The latter could recently reveal that she will lead the upcoming season of “The Voice”. Øyvind Mund (56) has led the singing competition since 2012, when the first program went on the air – but has now passed on the baton to Avlesen-Østli.
Zero contribution at home
Thus, there are many balls in the air for the mother of two with both dance and song programs, and when See and Hear recently met her outside the dance center, she could tell that there will be little time for other things:
“I have not really seen the family this week here,” she admitted.

– Now I work in “The Voice” in addition so I sit with it all evening, and then I’m here until it closes.
Now that the dance competition is coming to an end, the celebrities must deliver two dances each on Saturday nights. It results in countless hours at the dance center.
– There is no point in living at home, so I have moved into a hotel where the other dancers live, the 37-year-old reveals with a laugh, and adds that the family thinks it’s all right:
– Then they know what they can count on, and that is that there is no contribution from me. Then it is better that there is zero contribution when I am away, than that there is zero contribution when I am at home. So that is the calculation, the auditor (her husband Erik Løkken Østli, journ.anm.) Has calculated, she says humorously – but adds that she finds it very sad not to live at home with the family during the day.

Avlesen-Østli has impressed both judges and the audience Saturday after Saturday this fall. Now she is left as one of four participants, and if she manages to dance further from tonight’s broadcast, she has secured a podium place in this year’s «Shall we dance».
