Sinterklaas spotters were sent home, too busy at Soestdijk Palace

If you think you are spotting Sinterklaas on his gray, you will be sent home by a few enforcers on a (white) horse. Soestdijk Palace was visited today by many children and their parents.

It was very busy on Sunday at Soestdijk Palace in Baarn. Parents came with their children to see if they could catch a glimpse of Sinterklaas and his helpers. In the Sinterklaas news, it was possible to follow ‘live’ on Saturday that Sinterklaas was driving to the building and because the Grotepietenhuis was located there.

Sinterklaas on Soestdijk

Saint and his retinue laid Saturday afternoon at the (fictional) Dieuwertje Blokkade in an unnamed place. Sint then rode on his horse to the Peter’s house. On Saturday it could be seen on television that Sint was holding a parade on the steps. Children, mayors and people from several provinces came to bring gifts. Sinterklaas and / or his helpers were not to be seen on Sunday; not indoors, but also not in the garden. On Sunday, however, a Sinterklaas flag (red with a miter) flew in the middle of the palace, which was transformed into a ‘pietenhuis’.
