The vaccine produced by the Chinese laboratory Sinovac was widely used this year in Latin America.

Those vaccinated with Coronavac, from the Chinese laboratory Sinovac, must have a third dose if they are 60 years of age or older to be considered fully vaccinated, according to the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).

The Sinovac vaccine has been widely used in Latin American countries.

Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela have applied it, to a greater or lesser extent.

All those 60 and over who received Coronavac need to get a third dose to be considered fully vaccinated“said this Wednesday at a press conference the deputy director of PAHO, Jarbas Barbosa.
