KONTAN.CO.ID – SINGAPORE. The Sinovac-CoronaVac COVID-19 vaccine will be included in Singapore’s national vaccination programme, the Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on Saturday (23/10).

This follows the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) decision to grant it temporary authorization under the Pandemic Special Access Route (PSAR).

The Ministry of Health noted that while the local vaccination rate was high at over 90 percent in the eligible age group, there were some who chose not to use the mRNA vaccine due to strong personal preferences.

“To ensure that everyone will have reasonably good protection against COVID-19, we will offer three main series doses of Sinovac-CoronaVac under the national vaccination program to those who have not completed their full vaccination, including people who have received only one or two previous doses of Sinovac-CoronaVac,” said the Ministry of Health.
