good afternoon, welcome to new day of the 1000 Masters in Rome. In a few minutes Rafa Nadal will jump to Campo Centrale to play his first match at the Foro Italico. His rival will be the Italian Jannik Sinner.
Nadal faces his fourth tournament on the dirt tour. It premiered in Monte Carlo where it reached the quarterfinals. There he fell to Rublev 2-6, 6-4 and 2-6. The following week he got into the end of the Count of Godó who won for the twelfth time after beating Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-4, 6-7 (6) and 7-5. Then came the Mutua Madrid Open. Nadal lost in the quarterfinals to Alexander Zverev by a double 6-4.
Sinner, number 18 in the ranking, is, at 19 years old, one of the great promises of world tennis for his good results at such a young age.
