Some of these athletes were tested several times in a row with variations between positive and negative. These variations, which we studied, helped convince scientists that one anti-doping scenario didn’t work. We were even more surprised because for us it wasn’t a very political story. If it hadn’t been China, I’m not sure we would have talked about it.”
