Libreville, Monday April 6, 2023 (Info Gabon) – The Prime Minister, head of government, Alain Claude Bilie-By-Nze, announced yesterday Wednesday to the families of the 7 other missing persons the end of the search.
After nearly a month of research to find all the passengers on board the Esther Miracle boat which was shipwrecked on the night of March 8 to 9 between Libreville and Port-Gentil, the authorities announced yesterday that these were over. During a meeting with the families of the last 7 missing, the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Alain Claude Bilie-By-Nze, declared the end of the search. “The government has made every effort to find alive or dead all the compatriots who were in the ship,” he said.
The official report shows 30 dead including two unidentified bodies, 124 survivors and 07 missing. The Esther Miracle ferry sank during the night of March 8 to 9, 2023. Several people were arrested as part of an investigation opened by the government.
